Rain, Rain, More Rain Today!

Hi Y’all,

Sigh.  House-itis is taking over everyone.  My Human actually took a nap this morning ‘cause the rhythm of the rain had her head noddin’.

This is the second day of rain here and more is supposed to come tomorrow.

Don’t get me wrong, we desperately need the rain.  It’s much too dry everywhere in the southeast.  Unfortunately the driest areas are not getting the rain.

I went back and looked through some pretty pics we took this past week on our walks. Like these beautiful wild flowers that are everywhere.

The following pic is the blooms on the sourwood tree.  It makes fantastic honey.

The flower itself looks like the little bells on the lily of the valley, so the tree’s nickname is lily of the valley tree.

Then there was this glimpse of fields in the distance.

Another wild flower, complete with bugs.

Tomorrow I’ll show you some more early autumn color.

Y’all come back now!

  3. Those are beautiful pictures. Everything is so green. Too bad the rain is missing the places that need it most.

  6. Rain is in our forecast too all this week. That means Jada will not be a happy pooch to have to go out in the rain. I think it makes her paw allergies worse. Looking forward though to those beautiful days like your pictures and especially the fall folliage!

  8. Murphy and I wish you could come visit us for a bit! We are having the hottest days of the summer so far here - highs around 80! It's beautiful and I wish we could share! Soon we will be back to gray skies and rain. Hope your humans are making up for the bad weather with lots of petting and love.
